"Good nature and bad human nature" is one of the controversial issues among thinkers and has a fundamental influence in human sciences. This research, with the method of thematic interpretation, aims to obtain the Qur'an's point of view on this issue. Man has been praised in some verses of the Holy Quran and condemned in others. The commentators have considered this duality to be related to the good and bad character of man, and have provided ways to solve it. It seems that the verses in praise of man have a clear indication of his good nature. But in most of the verses of condemnation, it is not about human nature, but about behavior or an acquired trait in most people. The few verses that talk about human nature are either not basically in the position of condemnation, or the condemnation in them is not about human nature, but based on exaggeration and generalization, towards the behavior or acquired traits of humans.
