The Principles of Speech Education in the Holy Qur’an Based on the Social Dimension

Abstract

The Qur’an is a book of guidance and its content contains many teachings and educational concepts,
each of which has a significant role in the intellectual, religious and spiritual development
of human beings. The thematic scope of the Holy Quran’s topics includes three main areas:beliefs,
religious rulings and ethics. As the third area of human guidance,ethics is one of the issues
that the Holy Quran has considered and addressed its various dimensions. This important
axis which aimsat educating human beings has different educational principles and methods
in variousindividual, social, behavioral and speech dimensions.Using descriptive-analytical
processing method,this paper has analyzed the verses related to the principles of speech based
on the moral verses of the Qur’an, and has come to the conclusion that in many verses the educational
principles of social speech and its various instances are explained through some basic,
general axes that areapplicable at all times and places. In the Holy Quran, the principles of
speech education in personal and social relations are fully stated. Positive principles includetruthfulness,
honesty and nice language, and negative principlesinclude refraining from false
.words, force, lies, frivolity, and slander
